Lack of value and impact of learning programmes
It is challenging to bridge a learning experience with everyday life.
Learning via courses and seminars often seems distanced, phony and artificial to real life business and therefore many participants become defensive towards learning.
The 70/20/10 dilemma is: We learn from experience, less from listening to the experience of others.
We learn 70% from challenging assignments – working on tasks and problems, 20% from developmental relationships – getting feedback, and 10% from coursework and training – reading and listening.
The question is:
How do we get the most of learning and increase the chances for actual chance in behaviour?
